This listing is for materials (see the list below for the non-counter materials) meant to improve the play of The Siege of Constantinople (SPI), but does not include the game.  This 28 Variant Counter Set includes all the counters suggested for the Naval Rules.  Some to all of the non-counter materials may emailed upon shipment of your purchase.  
      
The counters listed here are 1/2" size , about the thickness of a standard counter (but not exactly the same thickness).  The set is laser printed!  The counters will be shipped individually cut rather than in uncut sheets.  The color shades of the actual counters may differ from those seen on your monitor.  Because of the labor and printing (variant counters are sent to professional printers to produce a high quality product) involved it may take 5 business days to ship this item.
                        
The counters are the size and very near the thickness of a standard counter with vivid laser printed colors.  They are not die-cut, but will be cut into individual counters prior to shipping.  The non-counter items will be downloadable from links sent in an email.

Account of a Review from a St. Nicholas
I have been representing the spirit of St. Nicholas for children for the past 26 years. I have been everything from a Mall Santa to a part in a Christmas Program at our local church. About ten years ago, I started reading this story to the children of the local cops & firefighters fairly close to Christmas Eve each year from an old tattered children's book. I usually hosted this in my own living room until it got too large to do so. This year we opened that reading up to the community and filled the basement of our local library with children and their parents. I needed something to replace the old tattered children's book with and this fit the bill. The illustrations are beautiful and the words large enough to read in front of a group of children. I wish the pages were a little more robust as they are difficult to turn with white gloves on but that is minor. I cannot recommend this edition of the timeless story enough.

“Twas the Night before Christmas” illustrated by Matt Tavares

Clement C. Moore - “Twas the Night before Christmas” is a perennial holiday favorite of mine. Matt Tavares’ monochrome illustrations are incredible! Mr. Tavares’ version remains true to the text within the original 1823 poem, ”A Visit from St. Nicholas”. As noted - two original reindeer names – Dunder and Blixem. I highly recommend Irish illustrator PJ Lynch 2021 version and American illustrator Matt Tavares 2022 version of Moore’s “Twas the Night before Christmas”.

I purchased this book for my kids to read as it gets closer to Christmas. I specifically chose it because of the old world charm it has. I love the black and white sketches and the fact that the outdoor scenes of brownstones were illustrated from Boston brownstones, where we used to live. This book is just a classic and the illustrations have such depth and emotion. There is that quality and detail you can only get from black and white..and from an amazing illustrator. Lovely book. I'm very happy to own it and have it as part of our Christmas tradition..a lot more special to me than Elf on The Shelf..which was last years Christmas book purchase.
