Lagrein, eine der typischsten Rotweinsorten Südtirols und der Kellerei Bozen, gedeiht in der Talsohle rund um Bozen bei hohen Temperaturunterschieden zwischen Tag und Nacht. Die sehr alten Reben bringen einen Wein von überdurchschnittlicher Qualität hervor, mit konzentrierten, aber samtigen Tanninen, saftiger Frucht und einem robusten Körper.

Nach der traditionellen Rotweinvergärung im Holzfass reift der junge Wein für ca. ein Jahr in französischen Barriques.
