The minimum mounting heights are shown for human comfort and uniform energy distribution for complete building applications. Mount heaters as high as possible. CSA certified. This product has 5 year limited warranty on tubes and 1 year limited warranty on unit. This product is made in USA.
TISS™ Tube Integrity Safety Shut-Off System
SunStar’s patent pending innovative safety feature for positive pressure radiant tube heaters is called the “Tube Integrity Safety System” (TISS™).
In the unlikely event of a tube failure, TISS™ has been designed to automatically shut off the heater. The revolutionary TISS™ uses a simple principle to place an electrically insulated aluminum wire in tension above the reflector. Low voltage is then continuously passed along the wire in line with the gas control circuit. If heat levels increase due to heat exchanger failure, the wire melts and the safety circuit is broken, breaking the 24 volt circuit and shutting down the heater.
Note: Since straight tubes are always hotter at the burner end than at the exhaust end, always observe the minimum recommended mounting heights shown on the specification sheet for greatest human comfort. Use SIU series instead of SIS series for spot heating applications.

Push Through System

- 30 second pre-purge before ignition and 30 second post-purge after thermostat is satisfied
- Diaphragm air switch for proof of venting before gas flow and ignition

Gas Line Pressure Regulator Up To 2 PSIG This Regulator is for use with all Tube Heaters between 1/2 and 2 psig. The maximum supply pressure to the infrared heaters is 14" WC or 1/2 psig. If your supply pressure is between 1/2 psig and 2 psig then you will need this second stage regulator. The regulator is equipped with vent limiting device and complies with ANSI standards. The regulator does not need any venting. This product has limited warranty of 1 year. This product is made in USA. |
