 Worsted Weight

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Merino Worsted by Malabrigo (100% Merino Wool; 100g/210yds): 1 Skein.  Single-ply merino wool is available in subtle to wildly variegated colors due to the kettle-dyeing process used by Malabrigo.  

ALTERNATE YARN: Lanaloft Worsted by Brown Sheep Co. (100% USA Wool; 100g/160 yds): 2 Skeins.  This single-ply wool yarn is 100% made in America; however it is not as soft as Merino Wool.

ALTERNATE YARN: NatureSpun Worsted by Brown Sheep Co. (100% USA Wool; 100g/245 yds): 1 Skein.  Durable, strong, staple yarn made 100% in the USA!  Solids & heathers only.  

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: approximately 21.5" circumference x 8.5" tall
YARDAGE: 126-150 yds
SKILL LEVEL: Beginner - ribbing, seaming

NEEDLES: Size US 8 / 5mm straight needles, or size needed to obtain gauge 
OTHER TOOLS: Stitch markers, tapestry needle
GAUGE: 18 sts x 23 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch
