Tom Zé maakt moeilijke muziek die desondanks makkelijk weg luistert. De Braziliaanse songschrijver vond zichzelf opnieuw uit met een hele reeks jaren zeventig albums, waarbij hij met gemak bossa-nova gitaren combineert met drill-boren en cirkelzagen. Todos Os Olhos is de eerste uit die reeks, waarop hij met een onwaarschijnlijk gemak experiment en plezier met elkaar verbindt.
