Orion laat zien hoe verfijnd Primitivo uit Salento kan zijn. Je krijgt rijp donkerrood fruit met een kruidige gloed en precies genoeg frisheid om het glas levendig te houden. De druiven worden met de hand geoogst en streng geselecteerd, zodat alleen perfect fruit de kelder in gaat.

Wijngaarden en regio

De druiven komen uit Italië, Puglia, uit de regio Salento. Het warme zuiden geeft kersen en pruimen met diepte, terwijl de zeewind ’s avonds voor afkoeling zorgt en de wijn zijn frisheid bewaart. Zo ontstaat een volle stijl met balans en lengte.

Vinificatie en rijping

Handpluk eind augustus en begin september in kleine kratjes, daarna een tweede handmatige selectie in de kelder. De vergisting verloopt bij 27–31 °C met zorgvuldige in- en overpompingen. Wat is délestage en remontage? Délestage is het tijdelijk aflaten van de jonge wijn zodat de schillenkoek uiteenvalt en zacht extraheert, remontage is het terug oppompen over de schillen voor kleur en geur. Na de malolactische gisting rijpt de wijn 6 maanden in Franse barriques van 225 liter.

Proefnotities en serveertips

Intense, robijnrode kleur. In de neus elegante balsamieke tonen met rijp donkerrood fruit, kersen, pruimen en hintjes kaneel en nootmuskaat. Vol en rijk in de mond met zachte, rijpe tannines, sappig rood fruit en mooie, verkwikkende zuren. Lange, aangename afdronk. Aan tafel ideaal bij gegrild vlees, stoof of wild en bij rijpe, gekruide kazen. Ook solo een heerlijke avondwijn.

This product is the real deal.

OMG. This is the best skin care product I have ever used. I'm 61 years old and my skin was showing sun damage, dark circles, real wrinkles around my eyes, lips, and forehead. Basically, I was looking every bit of my 61 years. About 30 days ago I started using this organic beef tallow with raw honey moisturizer in conjunction with a product to clear the pores on my nose. (That's a different review.) I will never go back to the 5, costly products I was using. I was using a daytime moisturizer with SPF, a dark circle cream, a dark spot remover, a fine line product, and a night time resurfacing cream before trying this product. That was a couple hundred dollars every 5 weeks or so. Since starting this beef tallow and raw honey 30 days ago, my skin looks 10 times better. It's dewy but not greasy. My makeup looks good ALL day. My wrinkles are less noticeable and, I think, reduced in depth. My under eyes look so good. No more concealer under my foundation. In fact, I can go out and about with no makeup now! This product glides on easily, no dragging or pulling. It never feels greasy. And it only takes about a marble sized amount for my full face, neck, and decolletage. I use it morning and at night. So far, the little jar is still 3/4 full. Amazing product. I will be buying more for sure. Oh, one more thing. About 2.5 years ago, I had to have a mass removed from the left side of my neck. The scar was very noticeable. This cream is even improving that! Try it. See if I'm wrong!
