De Spanninga Thor 800 koplamp is een multi-sport verlichtingssysteem, uitgerust met een CREE XM-L2 LED, wiens verbijsterende lichtbundel, maximale lichtopbrengst (tot maar liefst 800 Lumen) en lange brandduur (tot 5:30 uur) de nacht definitief overmeestert en verslaat, net als zijn grote broer de THOR 1100. Wanneer de batterij compleet ontladen is, duurt het opladen maximaal 6 uur. Begin je met laden zodra het rode lampje brandt, dan duurt het opladen slechts 3 uur.

Klein maar robuust

De lichtopbrengst van de THOR 800 kan geregeld worden door de aan/uit knop kort in te drukken. Hierdoor kan men switchen van de BOOST-modus (waarbij een 30% hogere lichtopbrengst wordt bereikt) naar de ECO-modus (waarbij een 30% langere brandduur wordt bereikt). Om de THOR 800 aan/uit te schakelen maak je gebruik van de “safe-switch modus” (houdt de aan/uit knop minimaal 2 seconden ingedrukt). Hierdoor wordt het per ongeluk leeglopen van de batterij voorkomen.

Met zijn robuuste (1 meter impact-schokbestendig) en waterbestendige (IPX-5: geschikt voor continue onderdompeling in 2 meter water) aluminium behuizing, wordt de THOR 800 gepresenteerd als een fantastisch en betaalbaar alternatief voor de THOR 1100, inclusief de volgende accessoires:

  • 1x 8.4V 2000 mA/h Li-Ion accu in waterbestendige, neopreen beschermhoes

This is incredibly soft, and actually pretty light; it makes for a good spring or summer blanket, or a throw in addition to something else in colder weather. (The twin is big enough that you can double it up over yourself to make it thicker in colder months.) I’m not sure while it’s called a “bubble” blanket - there is a very gentle egg crate shape to it, but it’s not rigid at all, and not dual-layer or filled with air or anything. It’s a very comfy throw (my dog can also attest to that) and for ~$20 (at the time of this review), it’s a great deal. I haven’t noticed any shedding, either, but I’m going to wash it on as gentle a cycle I can, to be safe.
