Als gevolg hiervan zijn de doorgaans ruwe oppervlakken op de ondersteunde gebieden verleden tijd. Het bijzondere aan deze gloeidraad: op de spoel zit een NFC-chip , waardoor de Ultimaker 3 het ingeklemde PVA-materiaal direct herkent!
