Deze handgemaakte klankschaal bestaat uit koper, tin en acht edele metalen (Ag, Ni, Cd, Ru, Pd, Pt, Cr, Mn).
Gehamerde klankschalen
Elke klankschaal ontstaat uit een zorgvuldig handmatig proces. Vakmanschap staat voorop: de schaal wordt met aandacht en precisie in de juiste vorm gehamerd, door verschillende stappen heen, om zo een pure en heldere toon te laten klinken. Hierbij worden eerst de metalen, waaronder koper en tin die samen brons vormen, gesmolten in een oven. Afhankelijk van het type schaal worden kleine hoeveelheden van andere metalen toegevoegd, die de klank en het karakter verdiepen. Het gesmolten metaal wordt in mallen gegoten, waarna schijven van diverse diameters en diktes worden gesneden om verder vorm te krijgen.

Deze schijven worden met de hand gehamerd tot hun uiteindelijke vorm en gewicht. Meerdere schijven worden opgestapeld en hoog verhit tot ze roodgloeiend zijn. De vaklieden hameren ze vervolgens met precisie tot een komvorm die zacht en zuiver klinkt. Omdat het metaal alleen bij hoge temperatuur kneedbaar is, vraagt dit proces veel ervaring en geduld. Koelt het metaal te snel af, dan worden het materiaal broos en kunnen scheuren ontstaan.

Als de grove vorm er is, begint het fijne werk. De schaal krijgt haar unieke afmetingen en klankkleur door opnieuw hitte en gedetailleerd hamerwerk. Vervolgens worden de schalen van binnen en buiten zorgvuldig geschuurd, gepolijst en soms met beitels bewerkt om het ritueelobject de juiste uitstraling te geven.
Let op: doordat iedere schaal met de hand wordt gevormd en afgestemd, kan de diameter variëren. De aangegeven maat is een ruwe richtlijn.
