Codenames: Terug naar Zweinstein is een spel voor 4 of meer spelers, verdeeld in 2 ongeveer even grote afdelingen. Elke afdeling kiest een klassenoudste. Deze persoon geeft aanwijzingen aan zijn afdelingsgenoten. Leg het spel klaar volgens de instructies en volg de spelregels. Als je bekend bent met Codenames, kun je eigenlijk meteen beginnen met spelen en de nieuwe strategieën van deze Harry Potter Codenames gaan ontdekken. In deze variant voegen de afdelingen namelijk alle vier iets bijzonders aan het spel toe dankzij afdelingseigenschapskaarten. Daarnaast kun je spelen met de Afdelingsbeker. Dit is een langdurige wedstrijd tussen twee teams die vaak samen Codenames spelen. However there were just one too many convoluted plot points, sentences just did not flow nicely at times, and I was left with a lot of confusion on my end.
