Maar na de komst van het spoor in 1874 stroomde het dorp vol met forenzen en arbeiders die nieuwe denominaties introduceerden. Rond 1970 telde Hilversum vijftig kerken. Daarna nam het kerkbezoek af en begon het pijnlijke proces van het samenvoegen van parochies en gemeenten en het afstoten van kerkgebouwen. Desondanks telt de stad nog zo'n vijfendertig geloofsgemeenschappen met elk hun eigen karakter. Geloven is een persoonlijke zaak. I Smell Like a Gentleman Who Owns a Fireplace

The fragrance is warm, woody, and slightly sweet...that low amber note that smells expensive without trying to smell expensive, which, as we all know, is the actual expensive smell. My wife walked past me twenty minutes post-shower and said, unprompted, "You smell really good." I nodded like I had planned this.
The lather is genuinely rich; squeeze a modest amount and it blooms into a thick, creamy foam that covers everything efficiently. The texture is silky rather than watery, which matters more than people admit. Watery body washes feel like rinsing off with slightly scented regret. This one feels intentional. It cleans, and your skin actually feels clean afterward, not just rinsed. And the moisturizing? I wasn't expecting it. No greasy film, no lotion-begging dry patches by midday.
