Introductie

Villa Loren is toegewijd aan de variëteiten uit Veneto, een uitgestrekt gebied tussen Venetië en het Gardameer. Er worden elegante en volle wijnen geproduceerd, dankzij de combinatie van voldoende zonneschijn en de nabijheid van de Adriatische kust, die zorgt voor een verfrissend briesje. Bij Villa Loren streeft men ernaar om de waarde van het terroir van Valpolicella te benadrukken – de geboorteplaats van de beroemde Amarone.


Wat ruik en proef je?

Diepe granaatrode kleur en een complex bouquet van kaneel, kersenjam en walnoot. Een full-bodied rode wijn met rijp zwart fruit en tonen van vanille en koffie.


Druivensoort

Corvina, Rondinella, Corvinone

Na de oogst worden de druiven enkele maanden gedroogd (appassimento), waardoor ze hun smaken concentreren. Dit geeft de wijn zijn kenmerkende diepte, rijkdom en fluwelige structuur.

  • Corvina zorgt voor aroma’s van kersen en finesse

  • Rondinella voegt kleur en kruidigheid toe

  • Molinara brengt frisheid en elegantie

Samen creëren ze een wijn met een vol, zacht en complex karakter, waarin fruit, kruiden en een vleugje chocolade mooi in balans zijn.

Serveertips

Laat de wijn 1 uur op adem komen (decanteer bij voorkeur) om het volle aroma en de zachte tannines tot hun recht te laten komen. Gebruik een ruim, bolvormig glas om de complexe geuren volledig te laten openbloeien.


Vinificatie

De druiven worden in gecontroleerde magazijnen gedroogd tot januari, waarna een schilinweking plaatsvindt. Rijpt 24 maanden op eikenhout.

This version doesn’t work
I used these 2 nights in a row. I was hoping Oracoat found a solution to the problem people like me have with the regular Xylimelts: irritation of gums. As others have noted the “sensitive” version doesn’t melt and the goo that remains can be difficult to remove. I didn’t have too much trouble after the first night. However, the second day after use, it was so hard to get the remains out, I wound up with a very sore spot from digging it out. I will toss the rest. It’s too bad this effort fizzled. I hope Oracoat will find a solution For sensitive mouths. In the b meantime, I will use the original for a few nights and then stop before repeating. The idea behind the original product is fantastic. Unfortunately this attempt to make it usable for people with sensitive mouths hasn’t worked. Please try again.

I had used the original Xylimelts a few years back for my night time very dry mouth. They worked very well, completely dissolving overnight, but they caused sores inside my cheeks. Recently I discovered this new version which was purported to be made without the offending ingredients. They don't work quite as well, as they don't completely dissolve, but so far haven't caused any irritation. My mouth isn't completely parched as it was without any product, so it is definitely better than nothing. There is a gel-like residue in the morning that needs to be scraped off the teeth. I think Oracoat has some more R & D to do.
