Aluinpoeder

Aluin (vaak in de vorm van kali-aluin of aluminium-sulfaat) wordt in de tuin voornamelijk gebruikt om hortensia's blauw te kleuren en deze kleur te behouden.

Hier is een samenvatting van hoe en waarom het wordt gebruikt:

1. Waarom Aluin voor Hortensia's?
pH-verlaging: Aluin verlaagt de zuurtegraad (pH-waarde) van de bodem.

Aluminiumopname: Voor een diepblauwe kleur hebben hortensia's naast een zure bodem ook voldoende aluminiumionen nodig. Door de lage pH wordt het aluminium in de aluin beschikbaar gesteld voor de plant.

Kleureffect: In zure grond (pH 5 of lager) kan het aluminiumsulfaat de roze rassen van hortensia's mooi blauw maken of houden.

2. Hoe te gebruiken (Dosering en Toepassing)


Tijdstip: Meestal twee keer per jaar toedienen:

Voorjaar (vlak voor de bloei, bijv. maart/april)

Najaar (bijv. september/oktober)

Toepassing:

Los de aluin op in lauw water (bijvoorbeeld 10 gram per liter water).

Giet het water rondom de plant.

Voorkom dat de aluin het blad raakt om verbranding te voorkomen.

Je kunt het poeder eventueel ook rond de plant strooien en licht inharken, maar oplossen in water werkt sneller en beter.

Algemene Dosering: Afhankelijk van de grootte van de plant is dit vaak tussen de 20 en 100 gram per plant per jaar, verdeeld over twee keer.

Belangrijk: Gebruik bij voorkeur regenwater en geen kalkhoudend kraanwater, omdat kalk de pH-waarde weer verhoogt, wat het effect van de aluin tegengaat.

Aluin poeder is goed oplosbaar in water en niet oplosbaar in alcohol.
Aluin poeder wordt gebruikt als scheersteen en in bloedstelpende stiften. Ook geschikt voor het harden van gips.
Aluin is ook een beproefd middel tegen zweetvoeten.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
