Vandaag de dag wordt het beroemde wijnbedrijf geleid door de 5e generatie Wente. Met ruim 3000 ha aanplant is Wente niet meer weg te denken uit de hedendaagse wijncultuur in Californië. De trots van de familie zijn nog steeds de wijngaarden in Livermore Valley. Gelegen zo'n 35 km ten oosten van San Francisco bay profiteert dit gebied van de verkoelende ochtendnevels en volop zonneschijn in de middag. Dit microklimaat zorgt ervoor dat de druiven perfect rijp worden en toch de frisheid behouden. 

Deze Cabernet Sauvignon geeft een mooie indruk van wat Livermore Valley te bieden heeft. De druiven worden uitsluitend uit hun Charles Wetmore wijngaard verkregen, De grond bestaat hier uit diverse bodemsoorten zoals kleiheuvels en grind. Deze goede gedraineerde wijngaard biedt ons een Cabernet met aanwezige tannines en een rijp fruitkarakter, dat in combinatie met de natuurlijke zuurgraad van het lange groeiseizoen, een mooie evenwichtige wijn creëert. De Cabernet Sauvignon wordt aangevuld met Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah en Malbec druiven.

Update: sweater looked great when I received. After 1 wash it looks terrible. Looks like it’s been washed too many times, material fuzzy and piled.
