Mini Core Series The NUX HOOK Drum & Loop is a compact looper pedal with auto tempo detection. It allows you to effortlessly record phrase loops and add synchronized drum beats. With its intelligent and user-friendly design, the HOOK is perfect for musicians of all levels.

You have two recording options when creating your phrase loop: Normal Recording (NR) and Auto Recording (AR). In NR mode, simply press the footswitch to start recording immediately. In AR mode, press the footswitch to arm the looper, and it will automatically start recording when it detects your guitar signal. This feature is particularly useful when you want to operate the pedal with your hand instead of your foot.

To switch between NR and AR modes, hold the footswitch while plugging in the AC adapter to boot up the pedal. The Drum Tap indicator will flash BLUE three times for NR mode and RED three times for AR mode.
Even without a phrase loop, the HOOK can function as a drum beat generator with its Smart Tap Tempo feature. It offers 11 drum beat styles with high-quality sound samples, providing useful rhythms for practice sessions.

The HOOK supports 24-bit/44.1kHz recording resolution and offers up to 6 minutes of recording time with unlimited overdubs. It features true-bypass and analog dry-through, ensuring your original tone remains unaffected. You can stop the loop playback while the drum beat continues to play, giving you the flexibility to re-play the phrase loop as desired.

For silent practice, the HOOK includes a PHONES out jack, allowing you to connect headphones directly to the pedal. Additionally, you can export your phrase loop as a WAV file through the HOOK APP, which can be downloaded from the product page.

The USB-C port on the pedal is used for firmware updates. By connecting the pedal to a PC via USB cable and holding the footswitch while booting up, you can enter the DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode to perform firmware updates using the DFU updater software.
