Dankzij de PS2 6-Pin Female connector en compatibiliteit met RS-232 en TTL, communiceert de Alan GPS200 moeiteloos met andere elektronische systemen. De ingebouwde back-up geheugen slaat belangrijke satellietgegevens op, waardoor het apparaat signalen binnen 100 ms opnieuw oppikt en de locatiegegevens elke seconde bijwerkt.
