INSTRUCTIES

OPSLAG

Om de eigenschappen van de afwerking te garanderen, moet het product in zijn oorspronkelijke verpakking worden bewaard tot het moment van installatie. Als het product voor langere tijd moet worden opgeslagen, is het raadzaam het afgedekt te bewaren.

LEGGEN

Om een goede hechting aan de ondergrond te garanderen, moeten lijm- en voegmaterialen worden gebruikt die geschikt zijn voor de omgeving waaraan zij zullen worden blootgesteld. Tegelbevestiging met traditionele mortels garandeert geen goede hechting.

Alle soorten voegen moeten goed worden gepland en uitgevoerd: structurele, perimeter-, dilatatie- en tegelvoegen.

Het leggen van tegels zonder voegen is uit technisch oogpunt niet aan te raden, en kan de oorzaak zijn van verschillende pathologieën.

Voor een optimaal resultaat raden wij aan voegen van 2 mm te gebruiken.

ONDERHOUD EN REINIGING

Na het leggen wordt aanbevolen om de resten van lijm- en voegmateriaal te verwijderen met een speciaal voor keramische tegels ontworpen commerciële ontkalker, verdund met water, die niet langer dan 5 minuten in contact blijft met het te reinigen oppervlak.

In het algemeen mogen geen poederreinigingsmiddelen en metalen of schurende schuursponsjes worden gebruikt. In het algemeen volstaat een spons, warm water en neutrale vloeibare zeep. Daarna spoelen met veel schoon water.

I’d just finished reading Jules Gil-Peterson’s A Short History and felt a little unsatisfied and uncomfortable with all the orientialism. I picked this up and was immediately sure I had the antidote. Bhatt is clear, direct, and uncompromising. She avoids filler and gets right to the heart of things—“how is this not like blackface?” gets dealt with more thoroughly and decisively than I have ever seen it within the first few pages. She reveals the transmisogyny lurking in even nominally queer social and intellectual movements, and also finds pockets of beautiful solidarity and common ground in some surprising places. Above all, her love for women shines through every word. This book cleared up some misconceptions I had, made me cry, and will make me a better partner and comrade to trans women. Buy it.

I'd recommend this for anyone interested in transfeminism, even if you'd already read individual essays from Bhatt's newsletter by the same name. As with the essays in their newsletter format, The Third Sex and The Questions Has an Answer were my favorite. Bhatt's writing has such force and clarity that I look forward to reading whatever she chooses to write about next.
