Nel calice ha un colore rubino trasparente e luminoso. Il ventaglio di profumi al naso è ampio, con aromi di ciliegia, lamponi e more accompagnati da sentori che richiamano le erbe del sottobosco e le spezie. In bocca è finissimo, setoso, molto elegante. Chiude con un finale minerale e con un retrogusto lievemente speziato.Solo 4.000 bottiglie per questo Pinot Nero che è una delle punte di diamante di tutta la produzione di Maison Anselmet: il Valle dAosta DOC Semel Pater è un omaggio di Giorgio al padre Renato, figura fondamentale per la sua vita. I profumi avvolgono naso e palato in maniera elegante, dando vita ad una danza di aromi che viene esaltata dal carattere beverino di questo vino. Le uve macerano e fermentano in acciaio alla temperatura controllata di 8-10 °C, per poi affinare per circa 18 mesi in barriques. Dedicato a tutti coloro che vogliono bere solo il meglio.
E un prodotto dotato di una particolare inclinazione gastronomica, adatto sia a carni bianche che rosse. Molto interessante labbinamento con la selvaggina, fa la sua figura anche con formaggi stagionati.
