Trek kaarten totdat iemand een Exploding Kitten trekt en wordt geëlimineerd; tenzij hij een Defuse Kit gebruikt, die de kitten neutraliseert. Met meerdere deelnemers zal je al snel merken dat je heel erg je best moet doen om diverse obstakels van je medespelers te ontwijken. Dat is precies hetgeen dit spel zo leuk maakt.
