Aanbevolen wordt dat het voederhuisje op een beschutte plek opgehangen dient te worden. Ook is het van belang om het voederhuisje niet in de volle zon te plaatsen. U kunt het vogelhuisje schoonmaken met water en een borstel om mogelijke parasieten te verwijderen. Het houten voederhuisje is gemaakt van gecertificeerd FSC hout.
