Victron Skylla-TG 24/50: Industrial 3-Phase Battery Charger for Demanding 24V Systems

Precision 3-Phase Charging for Critical 24V Battery Banks

The Victron Skylla-TG 24/50 is a robust, microprocessor-controlled 3-phase battery charger engineered for professional and industrial applications where reliability and precise charge control are paramount. Delivering a full-rated 50 A charge current to your main 24V battery bank, plus a dedicated 4 A output for a starter battery, this unit ensures your entire DC system remains optimally charged. Its 3-phase input (3 x 400 V AC) provides balanced load distribution and higher efficiency, making it ideal for fixed installations in workshops, marine vessels, and off-grid power systems.

Unlike generic chargers, the Skylla-TG employs an advanced IUoUo three-step charge characteristic, rapidly and safely recharging batteries while preventing overcharge. The microprocessor continuously monitors and adjusts the process, significantly extending battery service life, particularly for sealed, maintenance-free batteries where precise voltage control is critical to avoid drying out and premature failure.

Key Features

  • 3-Phase Input: 3 x 400 V AC for efficient, balanced power draw and reduced line current per phase
  • Dual Isolated Outputs: 50 A main output plus 4 A auxiliary output to maintain starter batteries
  • Adaptive IUoUo Charging: Microprocessor-controlled three-step charge profile for faster, safer charging
  • Temperature Compensation: Included battery sensor adjusts voltage to prevent overcharge in high temperatures
  • Voltage Sense: Compensates for cable losses, ensuring the battery receives the exact charge voltage
  • Power Supply Mode: Stabilised output allows use as a DC power supply without batteries connected
  • Remote Alarm: Potential-free contacts (NO/NC) for integration with monitoring systems
  • Rugged Build: Aluminium enclosure with forced cooling, rated for -40 to +50 °C operation

Engineered for Battery Longevity

Battery health depends on precise charging. The Skylla-TG’s temperature compensation actively reduces charge voltage as ambient or battery temperature rises, a vital feature for sealed AGM or gel batteries that are sensitive to overvoltage. Combined with voltage sensing that eliminates voltage drop errors over long cable runs, your batteries are charged exactly to specification, maximising cycle life and reducing total cost of ownership.

Versatile Power Solution

Beyond battery charging, the Skylla-TG functions as a highly stabilised DC power supply. This dual-purpose capability is invaluable for bench testing, powering DC equipment directly, or acting as a buffer in systems without batteries. The integrated remote alarm with potential-free contacts allows seamless integration into building management or vessel monitoring systems, providing alerts for charger status or fault conditions.

Built for Harsh Environments

Housed in a durable blue aluminium case (RAL 5012) with forced cooling, the Skylla-TG operates reliably in ambient temperatures from -40 to +50 °C and up to 95% non-condensing humidity. Comprehensive protection against output short circuits, reverse polarity, over-temperature, and excessive battery voltage safeguards both the charger and your valuable battery investment. The M8 stud terminals (Approx. 5/16") provide secure, low-resistance connections for heavy-duty cables.

Applications

  • Marine and yacht 24V house and starter battery banks
  • Industrial off-grid and backup power systems
  • Workshop and service centre battery maintenance
  • Mobile equipment and heavy vehicle charging
  • Telecom and remote monitoring installations

Equip your 24V system with the charging precision and durability it demands. Order the Victron Skylla-TG 24/50 today and ensure your batteries deliver peak performance and extended service life.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger
