Our in-house designed mounting brackets are laser cut to fit the undercarriage of the Sprinter or Transit exactly so that in the case of an accident, the plate will pull against the pinch welds of the primary and secondary frame members, distributing the force to the frame rather than just pulling through the sheet metal. The mounting holes are positioned in the most commonly used mounting position in both vehicles. If these mounting locations do not work for your layout you can drill new holes in them and they will have the same pull out strength. 

Universal Brackets: For Promasters and all vehicles besides Sprinter or Transit, as well as, unusual installs like curb-side foldaways; we use large washers used in DOT rated seat and seat belt installation. While the system has not been pull tested, the use of these 2"x5" plates will drastically improve the strength of your seat install as opposed to regular washers. With the teeth of the plates facing down, these brackets will stretch the metal in the case of an accident rather than cutting through it, which increases the pull out strength. You need to get no less that three of the four rear holes of the foldaway seat bracket and use all six plates if at all possible. The plates have two holes in them so that you have more mounting locations, either hole can be used. For Promaster installation, there are some heat shields around the exhaust that can be bent out of the way or removed and replaced after install.
