This is an interesting specimen from Afghanistan. The Beryl crystal is 21mm tall and is half Aquamarine and half Heliodor. The Aquamarine crystal is terminated with a pretty blue and transparent tip. Its formation appears to have been triggered by the Lepidolite growth. The original Heliodor crystal self-healed after this interruption and continued forming at a slightly tipped angle as Aquamarine, finishing in a termination. This makes an extraordinary crystal even more powerful.
