Flowers & Foliage 3D Embossing Folder is part of the From the Garden Collection by Wendy Vecchi. It is a 5.50 x 8.50-inch embossing folder with a wonderful background filled with sweet florals and leafy vine designs. What a fabulous addition to the other sets in this collection!

From the Garden is a debut collection by talented designer Wendy Vecchi with Spellbinders. Soft curves inspired by flowers and leafy vines found in a garden can be seen throughout these sets. Mix and match the thin metal cutting dies, clear stamps, embossing folder and more to make lovely cards, scrapbook pages and even mixed media pieces!

This versatile 3D Embossing Folder can texturize a surface of various card sizes from A2-size (4.25 x 5.5-inch) to a Slimline Size (3.5 x 8.5-inch). For the most detailed impression, lightly mist the cardstock with water before embossing.

This is not just your ordinary embossing folder! 3D Embossing Folder shapes and sculpts paper into amazing works of art. Transform cardstock, patterned paper, vellum and more into stunning textured elements to bring your project up a level.

How to Build a 3D Embossing Folder Sandwich:

From the Bottom, place Platform Base (A), add 3D Embossing Folder with Paper Inside, and top with Adapter Plate (D)*. Roll the Sandwich through your Spellbinders Platinum Machine. Make sure the folder with the open end goes in first for a smooth embossing experience.

*Available in PL-127 Universal Plate System (sold separately) and required for use in Spellbinders Platinum Machines.

I find the illustrations (which are either done by a 5 year old or an adult as talented an artist as I am) painful but I give the text 6 out of 5 stars so when I take a star off for the over-the-top illustrations we're still at 5/5 ;) Kids who have greater access to exclusively modern media with intense graphics may not be able to relate to the material: the graphics are a big hurdle and the text is pretty dated too. I'm sure an updated version would be even more engaging for my kids but what it lacks in exciting, current graphics it makes up for in specificity and clarity for my two.

They always enjoy pulling it out and now I can refer back to the characters to remind them of their manners in a more positive way.
