"The Beths' Auckland, New Zealand, 2020 begins with crowd screeches and bellows. It's a collective exhalation, in one of the few countries where live music is still possible. The album title, and film of the same name, deliberately include the date and location. In a mid-pandemic world, playing to a heaving, enraptured home crowd feels miraculous. In March 2020, everything seemed on track for another huge year for The Beths. Home after an 18-month northern hemisphere tour, they had just finished recording sophomore album Jump Rope Gazers and were primed for more extensive touring. But within days, New Zealand's lockdown split the band between three separate houses. All touring was cancelled. The band found an outlet through live-streaming, returning to the DIY mentality of their early days to connect with a global audience. The album and film have their genesis in that urge to share the now-rare experience of a live show, as widely as possible."

I looked a long time for a quality looking set for a budget price. I'm thankful that this is an option for the price range. Especially if you are on a budget, this is a good option. I know for the budget, you won't get the top-tier quality. However, when I got it, I wasn't too impressed by the quality. Though I'm thankful for the price, I felt this looked a little too cheap. The block was also far too flimsy. I was worried about removing and replacing the knives because the block "frayed" quite a bit. There were "crumbs" of block over the top that fell off the knife after you pulled it out. So I was very worried about touching the knife at all because I was worried about scratching or damaging the knives themselves. The knives themselves, though, I wasn't too worried about. They were the exact style I was looking for minus the color. I was looked for a more black or black-wash stainless steel like the ones I have now. I returned it the next day so I didn't try it out or take pictures. In the future, though, I'm now more willing to pay more for better quality.
