Choose Your Tier: Lite, Standard, or Pro Performance

1. Alpha 1 Lite (12V 100Ah) — The Economical Workhorse

The Alpha 1 Lite is custom-engineered for solar consumers searching for a cost-effective, high-quality power solution without paying a premium for luxury add-ons. Eliminating Bluetooth and internal heating elements, it centers its focus entirely on high-density performance using exactly the same Grade-A cells as the top-tier models. If your setup is located in temperature-controlled spaces or warm climates, the Alpha 1 Lite offers the ultimate structural balance of reliability and affordability.

2. Alpha 1 Standard (12V 100Ah) — Intelligent All-Weather Energy

The Alpha 1 Standard adds critical features designed for rugged off-grid environments and unpredictable weather. It introduces a smart, built-in internal heating technology that automatically keeps the cells safe to receive a charge even during sub-zero operations. Furthermore, integrated Bluetooth connectivity pairs seamlessly with your smartphone, giving you real-time access to accurate State-of-Charge (SoC), voltage metrics, current draw, and individual cell health.

3. Alpha 1 Pro (12V 100Ah) — Ultimate Commercial Safety and Certification

The Alpha 1 Pro represents the absolute pinnacle of premium energy storage. Built directly on the smart infrastructure of the Standard model, it adds advanced structural components optimized for ultimate system safety. The Alpha 1 Pro is fully UL 1973 Certified, meeting strict regulatory requirements for professional builds, structural inspections, commercial vehicles, and marine systems where safety compliance cannot be compromised.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the main difference between the Alpha 1 Lite, Standard, and Pro batteries?

A: All three models provide 12V 100Ah (1,280Wh) of power using premium Grade-A cells. The Lite is a basic high-quality battery with no extra smart features. The Standard adds integrated internal heating elements for sub-freezing charging and a Bluetooth transceiver for wireless monitoring. The Pro inherits all standard features while adding advanced physical components to achieve full UL 1973 Certification required for professional or commercial applications.

Q: How many appliances can a 1,280 Watt-hour Alpha 1 battery run?

A: To calculate your runtime, divide the battery’s 1,280Wh total capacity by the continuous wattage consumption of your gear. For instance, a typical 50-Watt RV television can run continuously for approximately 25 hours on a single full charge of an Alpha 1 battery, assuming no other loads are present.

Q: Can I charge the RICH SOLAR Alpha 1 battery in freezing cold temperatures?

A: If you are using the Alpha 1 Standard or Alpha 1 Pro, yes. Both models feature automatic internal heating systems that warm up the lithium cells safely prior to accepting a charge in sub-zero environments. If you choose the Alpha 1 Lite, you must ensure the battery is positioned within a heated compartment or temperature-controlled zone, as charging standard LiFePO4 cells below 32°F (0°C) can cause permanent damage without internal thermal management.

Content seems good, but support files/code are insufficient, and the code seems illogical in places
Format: Paperback
This books starts out great and the content/approach seems solid. But I ran into several issues when the coding portions were introduced, notably when it came to collisions and destroying enemy game objects. There's scripting to set up a bullet behavior, but from the outset the behavior is buggy, and when the "explosion" behavior is introduced, there's no coding to actually destroy the object you're introducing the explosion behavior to. On top of that, the explosion behavior is tied to the playerObj's "onDeath" function, so ... I'm not sure how any of that ties into destroying an enemy game object. This is about 150 pages in. The go-to method in these cases is, of course, to reference the support files, but these files only include the code and the book images. What's really needed is the Unity project files to ensure the code is being implemented in the components of the game objects and seeing the core structure there. With only the scripts, you can only check your scripts against those, but you can't be sure you're utilizing them correctly and tying it all together in Unity. Granted, I'm still learning the platform, but things like where you're expected to fire a bullet that has no "destroy gameObject" function into an enemy gameObject that also has no such behavior ... and the behavior is tied to the player? There's definitely something amiss. All the while you're dealing with "soft locks" in the test gameplay that could have been immediately addressed, but aren't. And you can't really move forward with such core inconsistencies in place because you fear the problems would just compound from there.

My children are able to follow along. Directions aren't too simplistic nor too complicated. Good for adults too. They are using the skills they learned and adding new ones. Happy with this purchase.

Maybe Outdated
Format: Paperback
I got this for my brother who is attempting to make a game in Roblox. He said a bit of the information doesn't match the current game-making system, but that the book does have a lot of good information regardless.
