It's perfect for 4-6 year olds starting their reading journey, and is very effective with children of any age who struggle to read and write letters.

Easy Alphabet for Families includes everything you need to support your child's alphabet learning at home. Watch the instructional videos, learn the letters, then play the card games, and practice handwriting skills. A physical set of playing cards and introductory sheets will be mailed to you, and you can add a set of display cards to your order if you wish. You can also login to the online portal to print practice sheet featuring your state's beginner handwriting font as needed.

What makes the Easy Alphabet so effective?

A typical phonics alphabet supports letter learning by including a picture that starts with the sound (e.g. a picture of a moon for the letter m) but this doesn't help your child remember how to write the letter... 

The Easy Alphabet embedded picture mnemonic provides stronger visual and verbal links to help reduce cognitive load and convert that pesky black squiggle on the page into something more meaningful.

• the picture features words containing the sound
• the picture is also in the shape of the letter
• the integrated 'story' cue (e.g. 'man goes over the mighty mountain') describes the picture, reinforces the sound, and guides the formation of each letter

Designed for home use, the Easy Alphabet kit for families is perfect for consolidating letter-sound links for children who are struggling to connect letters to sounds at the same rate as their peers. It can also be used introduce letters and sounds to any pre-school, kindy or prep child starting their reading journey.  

Select your State font

The Foundation (Generic) font is the beginner font featured on the printed resources in your Easy Alphabet kit. The Foundation set includes alternate letter formation for d, k, t, v and w making it the ideal set if you are unsure what is being used in your child's school.

State-specific font sets designed for Australia include:

• NSW / ACT
• Queensland
• South Australia
• Tasmania
• VIC / WA / NT **  

** VIC/WA/NT: The Easy Alphabet instructional videos feature a 'beginner' foundational font. The VIC Modern Cursive font features exit tails on all letters, plus unique letter formation for b, p, x and z. As a result, the Easy Alphabet picture and 'story' do not always align. While the instructional videos feature the Easy Alphabet font, a unique set of printable resources has been developed to support handwriting for those based in VIC, WA, NT, Yolngu and Anangu.  

Note: The Easy Alphabet is a licensed Read3 product. The state-specific fonts featured in all Easy Alphabet resources are supplied by Australian School Fonts. Read3 is authorised to print and distribute these fonts under the Australian School Fonts Multi-User Publishing Licence. 

What is included in your kit?

This single-user licence authorises the use of all instructional videos and Easy Alphabet resources for a period of three years. While you may print unlimited copies of resources for your own children, we kindly ask that you do no share PDF files with your friends :) Resources include:
