A rare opportunity to own a little piece of synthesiser history. (It sounds good too!)
The Jupiter-4 was first Jupiter synth released by Roland. It was among one of the first poly synthesisers with 4 individual voices which could be synced together for one fat monophonic lead, a pitch wheel that could be assigned to the VCA, VCF, VCO or all together, there are 8 memory locations (this one has an upgrade so there are 32 spaces to save your sounds) and a cool arpeggiator - the arpeggiator can be heard in the Duran Duran classic, "Rio". It also has a very slow LFO for those ever-so-long filter sweeps. (Vintage Synth Explorer)
The Lofi Music team have a soft spot for the Jupiter-4 and keep one in our personal collection. They have such a great sound and are really fun to use.
Condition:
- This unit has been used.
- Physically this unit shows some obvious signs of wear from use and age like some small scratches, scuffs and nicks. The faceplate shows oxidisation. The text is all still clear and legible. Some knobs are not original. The side panels also show general wear like nicks, scratches and sections where the veneer has come off. Please ensure to see all photos for further details of the condition. Although it shows general wear, it is still a nice synth. There is nothing which detracts from the use, sound or function of this vintage Jupiter!
- This unit has a memory bank upgrade. It has 4 x the original patch memory available. This is selectable by a rotary switch at the front of the synthesiser.
- This unit has been thoroughly tested. It is 100% fully functional. It has no faults to note.
- This unit has been serviced, this included but is not limited to:
- Repaired all faulty slide potentiometers, buttons and switches.
- All functional issues were rectified and all faulty components have been replaced.
- Voice cards have been serviced.
- PSU was serviced.
- Thorough test of all electronic circuits.
- Full calibration to factory specifications.
- Tuned.
- Brand new high capacity rechargeable lithium battery installed.
- This unit sounds GREAT. It is ready to plug and play at home or in the studio!
- This unit is a factory 240V model. This means it is ready to plug and play within Australia! If you purchase from overseas you may need a step-up transformer. Please ask if you are unsure before purchase.
