Designed from the ground up with a progressive approach to boot construction, the FR 01 130 balances support, responsiveness, and freedom of movement across alpine and backcountry terrain.
Its hybrid cabrio-overlap shell design combines the lateral precision of a traditional overlap boot with the smooth flex and shock absorption of a 3-piece design. The patent-pending Phaenom Strap acts like a dynamic suspension system—absorbing vibration while delivering rebound and flex control through turns. The 102mm last offers a performance-oriented yet accommodating fit, paired with a fully heat-mouldable liner and shell for true customisation.
A walk mode with 58° range of motion allows for natural mobility when skinning or bootpacking, while tech inserts ensure full compatibility with pin bindings. The FR 01’s GripWalk sole improves traction and ease of walking, both in resort settings and the backcountry. Built with serviceability in mind, all components are modular and replaceable—reinforcing Phaenom’s commitment to repairability and long-term sustainability.
