Antique Hand-carved 20th Century Polynesian Kava Bowl

These rare and stunning wooden kava bowls, called a tanoa fai'ava, were handmade in Samoa in the early-1900s and sourced during our recent sourcing trip to Hawaii. Carved from a single piece of wood, this bowl stands on thirteen round legs. Kava bowls were originally used by Polynesian elders for ceremonial purposes to mix a sedative tea made from the roots of the kava plant. The kava plant was crushed to a fine powder, mixed with water, and that tea was used for sacred ceremonial or medicinal purposes. These bowls are a remarkable example of centuries-old craftsmanship and have become important symbols of Samoan hospitality. They are often still used for ceremonial tea or displayed as sculptural pieces of art.

Whether your interior aesthetics be Wabi-Sabi, Contemporary, Mid-Century Modern, Global Eclectic, or Rustic Farmhouse to name a few, these Antique Kava Bowls will elevate and enrich any space.

Great set of stories that ties in many of your favorite charecters
Format: Paperback
A simple yet great set of stories that tie in many of your favorite characters into the Galaxy's Edge/Baatu environment. I am not a huge comic reader, but I did very much enjoy. It is a quick read overall.

Worth a read in preparation for visiting Disney
Format: Paperback
Probably not the greatest Star Wars story but entertaining and ties in nicely if you are visiting Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge

Format: Paperback
This is a cool book. Just visited Galaxy's Edge recently, so it's fun to see the park and characters represented in comic form.

Great follow up to Empire Strikes Back
Format: Paperback
This series follows the events after Empire Strikes Back and I think it did a great job understanding the kind of realistic struggles the characters went through before Return of the Jedi. From Luke struggling to accept that Vader is his father, to Leia being heartbroken that Han Solo is frozen in carbonite. It was all very entertaining and I of course love the connectivity to other Star Wars stories as well. Great read.

Comic Book to help introduce Star Wars
Format: Paperback
Read this with my 6 yo son. He loved the art, loved the story, didn’t want to put it down. I felt like he was really engaged in this story because of the visuals. He wanted to know more about each character as they were introduced.
