GARMIN Edge 850 Bike Computer

Cycling computers have undergone an impressive development in recent years. Initially, they were mainly used to record basic values such as distance, speed or altitude and to navigate you reliably from A to B. Today, they are much more than that. Today, they are much more than that. the simple data collectors have become smart assistants that support you in training, accompany you in competitions and give you the decisive advantage at all times with intelligent functions. Like the Garmin Edge 850 - small in form, big in performance.

Experience brilliant clarity on every kilometer: The 2.7-inch color LCD display is not only impressively bright and high-resolution, but also optimally protected against the dangers of tough everyday cycling by a fiber-reinforced polymer housing and chemically strengthened glass. Thanks to the sophisticated user interface, you can control the Edge 850 either via the responsive touch display or the precise buttons, depending on what is most practical for your riding situation. With a battery life of up to 12 hours, the Garmin bike computer reliably accompanies you throughout the day on intensive training sessions, long rides and heated competitions. Functions such as real-time weather information as a map overlay, smart tips on carbohydrate and fluid intake or the display of your remaining energy and the optimum power input up to the finish make it go far beyond simply recording routes and performance values. It also offers you added convenience in everyday life, as you can conveniently make contactless payments with Garmin Pay or make yourself heard via the integrated loudspeaker with the bell function if required. The Garmin Edge 850 is more than just a bike computer.

REAL-TIME WEATHER INFORMATION
Keep a close eye on the weather and make informed decisions during your ride based on weather radar and wind direction data provided directly by weather stations when your smartphone is paired.

SMART NUTRITION & FLUID INTAKE
Receive alerts on the amount of carbohydrates or fluid you should consume during your activity. The information includes your current fitness level, distance requirements, temperature and humidity.

PIN DROP NAVIGATION
Select a point in the Apple Maps app on your iPhone and send the position directly to your Edge via the Garmin Connect app. There you will receive a route and can be navigated conveniently and reliably to this destination.

SPEAKER WITH RINGING FUNCTION
Thanks to the built-in loudspeaker, you are reliably guided through the navigation with voice instructions on the bike and can attract the necessary attention with the integrated bell function.

STAMINA RESIDUAL ENERGY
Stamina tracks your performance during cycling training and shows you the energy available to you during your physical activity. This allows you to optimize your energy consumption during the activity and avoid premature exhaustion.

POWER GUIDE
Power Guide helps you to find the optimal power input for your route and its elevation profile in order to create a performance strategy for your route. To support you even better, the Power Guide takes your remaining energy and the wind conditions into account.

CYCLING ABILITY
Garmin's cycling ability is a smart analysis tool that shows you how to assess your strength in different areas (endurance-oriented, high performance, anaerobic). This gives you data-based information on where you should train and how you can better achieve your strategic goals.

TRAINING STATUS
The Garmin training status shows you whether your current training is making you fitter, maintaining your performance or whether you are in danger of overloading yourself. Garmin analyzes factors such as heart rate, power in watts, the development of your VO₂max as well as the intensity and scope of your units. On this basis, it evaluates whether your training is productive, sustaining or unproductive and provides you with clear guidance for your next session.

RECOVERY TIME
After each training session, the recovery time tells you when you are ready for your next activity. It takes into account the intensity and duration of your last sessions as well as factors such as stress, sleep and daily activities. This gives you a personalized recommendation as to whether you should still recover or whether you are already fully resilient again.

TRAINING PLANNING
Simple training plan synchronization with Garmin Connect, TrainingPeaks or TrainerRoad, including prompts to catch up on missed workouts. Alternatively, you receive individual training suggestions directly on the Edge every day. These suggestions are based on a combination of several performance and load data that your device continuously records and evaluates.

MTB DYNAMICS
MTB Dynamics provides detailed analysis for mountain bikers, including jump metrics to track number, distance and airtime, Grit to assess trail difficulty based on terrain and GPS data, and Flow to analyze riding fluidity based on speed and line choice.

TRAILFORKS INTEGRATION
With the integration of Trailforks, a popular platform for MTB trails worldwide, Garmin offers you a pre-installed mountain bike map with all the important information on trails that can be ridden, including difficulty levels, elevation profiles and entry points. You can search for and load Trailforks trails directly from the menu interface of your Garmin device.

FORKSIGHT
As soon as you stop at the end of a trail or at a fork in the road, your device automatically displays a map with upcoming junctions. This gives you quick orientation within the trail network without having to zoom or search manually. ForkSight also provides you with detailed information on the distance to the next trail as well as the total length, elevation gain and loss and the difficulty of each section.

ENDURO & DOWNHILL PROFILES
The Enduro MTB and Downhill MTB activity profiles provide all the data you need for your ride. In the Enduro profile, you can see your altitude and depth meters for the run and the entire activity. The downhill profile saves a lap as soon as you have finished your descent and get on the lift or a shuttle.

SPLIT TIMES
Set start and time measurement points along a trail and compare your performance based on the split times between the measurement points. This allows you to draw conclusions about the fastest line and improve from run to run.

CLIMBPRO
A function specially developed for cyclists to effectively manage climbs on a planned route. It provides detailed information on upcoming climbs, including gradient, distance and elevation gain. This data helps you to better manage your own effort and make the entire tour more efficient.

SATIQ TECHNOLOGY
Get high-precision route recording through multi-frequency reception of global satellite systems. SatIQ dynamically adjusts the mode to ensure optimal positioning and save battery life.

5 HERTZ GPS RECORDING
The 5 Hz GPS recording captures your track in the Enduro and Downhill MTB profile with five data points per second. This results in a particularly precise and detailed track recording that captures even the smallest deviations. At the same time, the high data rate enables even more precise measurement of split times and thus ensures an analysis that also meets the requirements of ambitious riders.

ACCIDENT DETECTION
Garmin's accident detection uses a variety of sensors in the Edge bike computer to automatically detect accidents and falls. If a crash is detected, the device automatically sends a notification to preset contacts or emergency services and transmits your current location.

GROUPRIDE
GroupRide makes it easy to organize group rides. Share the route, stay in contact with all participants during the ride, receive accident notifications and compare yourself in leaderboards.

GARMIN SHARE
Share your planned routes and workouts quickly and easily with other compatible Garmin devices via Bluetooth. Perfect for spontaneous group rides or quick training sessions.

GARMIN COACH
Prepare for your next race, train for a milestone or simply improve your fitness with adaptive Coach or pre-built training plans. Garmin Coach offers customized training plans that adapt to your progress and goals in real time.

COMMUNITY HAZARDS
Share information on danger spots with the community and receive tips on dangerous sections of the route or obstacles. The danger spots are also displayed in the Edge route planner so that you can plan routes more safely in advance.

ANALYSIS OF THE GEAR RATIO
After the activity and with linked electronic gear shifting, you receive detailed analyses of how much time you spent in the respective gear ratios. This information is particularly valuable for your training, as it helps you to better understand and optimize your cadence, gear selection and power input.

E-BIKE ROUTING
The e-bike routing takes into account the battery charge level, the selected assistance level and the range of your e-bike. At the start of your tour, you will receive information on whether the planned route can be completed with the current battery level of your paired e-bike. As you are riding with varying support levels and the battery does not discharge evenly, you will receive continuous updates on whether your e-bike has enough power for your route.

BIKE ALARM
Be alerted if your bike is moved while you are away. If your Edge detects a change in position, a loud alarm sounds and you receive a notification on your smartphone.

FIND MY EDGE
If you have lost or misplaced your Garmin bike computer, you can easily display the last known location on a map via the Garmin Connect app and guide yourself there precisely. When the Bluetooth connection is active again, your Edge will make itself known with a clearly audible beep.

Garmin is a world leader in mobile navigation and satellite communications. Founded in 1989 with five employees in the United States, the company now has over 9,000 employees worldwide and has established itself through the development of innovative products in the field of navigation and communication. To date, over 43 million Garmin devices have been sold, underlining the trust placed in the brand. The name "Garmin" is made up of the first names of the two founders, Gary Burrell and Dr. Min Kao, and reflects the close partnership and innovative spirit that has characterized the company from the very beginning.
A milestone was the launch of the GPS 100 in 1991, a navigation system for boaters and pilots. It was the first of its kind and marked the beginning of Garmin's focus on GPS technology.
In 2005, Garmin launched the Edge 205, the first GPS bike computer specifically for cyclists. This device was the first to combine GPS technology with training functions and was aimed particularly at ambitious cyclists. It enabled the precise recording of training rides including informative metrics such as distance, speed and altitude profile. The Edge 205 paved the way for today's generation of high-performance bike computers, which not only navigate you reliably wherever you want to go, but also support you in achieving your next training goal with comprehensive performance analyses.

Garmin works constantly and with great commitment to further develop each bike computer through regular software updates and to equip it with new functions. These updates not only fix bugs, but also bring innovative features and contribute to an ever better user experience. It is therefore advisable to update your new acquisition with the latest software immediately after unpacking it. This will ensure that all the functions and innovations described are available to you right from the start.

Excellent Time Keeper // Terrible Wristband !
The watch itself is fantastic. When I first got it, and set it up, I set it to the time on my computer, which is as accurate as you can get. In the beginning I checked the time accuracy daily. After a few weeks my time checks changed to once, or twice a week. I never had to change the watch's time. The seconds would vary a little, in comparison to the computer clock. But, it never got more than 30 seconds either side of the computer clock. However, the watchband is a big time NO-GO! The buckle, where you connect it on your wrist, can be frustrating most of the time when you are trying to put it on. Once you've got it on, the strap that goes beyond the buckle is held down by a sliding keeper, that slides in and out depending on what you're doing. Terrible design! I wanted to buy a "Twist-a-Flex" wristband, but couldn't find one that matched the unusual design where the straps attach to the watch body. I bought the watch 4 months ago. Today, one of the 4 pins, that connect the straps to the watch body, fell out somewhere, making the watch impossible to wear. Excellent price. Excellent timepiece. Worst design for a wristband that I've ever seen.

Excellent for price, you won't be sorry
If you are looking for a watch with a lot of features that doesn't cost a lot, this is your watch. I tear up watches fairly easily in my line of work and after I killed my Seiko I decided I would hunt out a cheap watch. There aren't a lot of watches at this price range that include a stopwatch, date (with day of the week), AND has a light that is bright enough to actually read the time in the dark. This one does. The watch not dainty; it is big and bulky, bigger than I thought it would be, but not unwieldy and not super heavy. Expect it to be big. This also helps with readability (My son can read the time on this watch from the other side of the couch). The band feels rugged, made of a pliable and soft- feeling rubber and has a two- pronged belt- like closure (think 'biker belt') that keeps it secure on the wrist. Additionally, the holes for the band goes the entire length of the band so it is adjustable for really small wrists up to about 9.25" circumference. Others have complained about how easily the face scratches, but I suspect they've failed to remove the protective coating on the lens. It's a protective film that you have to get your fingernail under to pull off. Once that's off, the lens is crystal clear and fairly tough. I've had mine for a week now and used it under some fairly harsh conditions and the lens is still clear and scratch-free. My only complaint seems petty for a watch at this price point, but the strap-end hold down 'belt'--- the loop that holds down the extra length of the strap when it's buckled--- moves easily and so in use it will occasionally come off and you have to retuck the end back into it. But seriously, this is really minor. If you need an inexpensive digital that's easy to read in both daylight and darkness, ya don't mind a large and bulky, rugged- looking watch, and don't want to spend an arm and a leg, get this one. You likely won't be sorry.

Nice heavy leather with a pebbled look - limited storage
Color: Brown (Bifold), Color: Brown (Bifold)
This is a pebbled leather wallet from Carhartt. I got the brown version and it is a sturdy thicker type of leather than my other wallets. It has a real leather smell and I like the stitching on it as well as the branded carhartt logo on the front lower corner. Things to be aware of that I wish were a bit better. The wallet is on the small side of the spectrum, the area where you keep paper money is just the one compartment, there is no divider like many wallets have. Also, the left inside of the wallet has the clear window where you usually put your photo-id . In this window it is actually a brown mesh rather than a clear plastic so if showing an id you will likely have to take it out each time instead of flashing it. Also, there is not an area behind the "pocket" for the license and the right side just has 3 credit card slots. These are not necessarily bad things but if you are used to carrying around a lot of cards this one may be a challenge. The quality and thickness of the leather give it a nice western look. I will use this wallet when I dont have to carry too much. If you carry a lot of cash this isn't the best but most these days just need a couple of credit cards and a license and this works well for that.

Compact and exactly as pictured! Great quality leather.
Color: Black (Bifold), Color: Black (Bifold)
I am very satisfied with this wallet; it is exactly as described in the listing and shown in the photos. Key Features: • ID Compartment: There is a dedicated section for your ID. It features a mesh cover rather than a fully transparent plastic window. Personally, I don't find this to be a problem because I usually take my ID out to show it anyway, rather than handing over my whole wallet. • Spacious for Bills: Even though it’s a compact bifold, there is plenty of room for bills to fit flat without folding them. There is even a bit of extra space left over. • Design & Size: It’s a very compact and neat wallet, perfect for those who prefer front-pocket options or don't want a bulky feel. Final Verdict: The "full grain patina" leather looks and feels great. If you are looking for a reliable, well-made, and compact wallet, this is a perfect choice.

Durable Leather Wallet with a Minimal Design
Color: Black (Bifold)
This is a nice, heavy-duty wallet that feels built to last. The leather quality is good right out of the box, though it’s a bit stiff at first. If you prefer a softer feel, applying some leather conditioner or Neatsfoot oil helps break it in nicely. The layout is simple and practical. Three card slots on one side, an ID holder on the other, and a full-length pocket for cash. It keeps things minimal, which is great if you don’t want a bulky wallet sticking out of your pocket. The only thing I wish it had is RFID protection, but aside from that, it’s a solid everyday wallet that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
