423mg total caffeine with solid beta-alanine and sharp focus boosters

Darkside Supps Ultra Pre Xtreme is a straight-up, high-stim pre-workout with everything listed out. It's all about ramping up your workout intensity with layered stims and brain boosters, plus solid support from beta-alanine and citrulline. This isn't for pumps only or beginners. It's for pushing hard sessions where you need energy, focus, and the ability to keep going.

It kicks off with 4,000mg of L-Citrulline Malate 2:1. Since it's the malate form, you get about 2.7g of actual citrulline, which is under the 3-6g pure citrulline you see in studies. That means it's not the biggest pump dose out there. But you still get better nitric oxide, blood flow, and pumps than a pure stim product. Plus, 50mg AstraGin helps with absorption, making that dose work better.

Beta-Alanine is at 3,200mg, the standard dose from research to boost muscle carnosine levels over time. This is a smart move in the formula. Beta-alanine doesn't give instant energy like caffeine. It helps buffer acid in your muscles during tough sets. In the gym, that means you handle the burn better on high reps, sprints, or dense workouts. You'll feel the tingle right away, but the real benefits come after using it daily for weeks.

For mental edge, it's got 1,000mg L-Tyrosine, 600mg Alpha GPC 50% (about 300mg active), and 20mg Huperzine A 1% (200mcg active). Tyrosine helps make dopamine and norepinephrine, which is key when you're pounding stims and training hard. Studies on tyrosine for workouts are mixed, but it fits here.

Darkside Ultra Pre by Darkside contains 30mg Niacin, a clinical dose for training performance and pump.

Key Highlights

  • 3,200mg Beta-Alanine — this is the dose studies use to build muscle carnosine. Carnosine fights acid buildup, so you'll push through the burn on high-rep sets and intervals without quitting early.
  • 423mg Total Caffeine from two types — 350mg anhydrous for quick kick, plus 100mg dicaffeine malate for longer energy. It's better than single-source stuff if you want a strong start that doesn't fade mid-workout.
  • 1,000mg L-Tyrosine — a good dose for brain support in a high-stim pre. It helps make key brain chemicals, especially when training stress is high.
  • 600mg Alpha GPC 50% — gives about 300mg active, adding real choline for better focus and muscle connection, not just stim buzz.
  • Huperzine A at 200mcg real dose — from 20mg of 1% extract, it's spot-on for nootropics. It keeps acetylcholine around longer, making the Alpha GPC hit harder and last.
  • 4,000mg L-Citrulline Malate 2:1 — not the max for pumps, but solid in a stim-heavy pre. It boosts nitric oxide and blood flow, so your workouts feel fuller than with just stims.
  • 300mg Eria Jarensis Extract — this amps up the aggressive feel. You'll notice better mood, drive, and readiness when it's mixed with high caffeine.
  • 60mg Hordenine HCl — pairs great with stims to make energy feel stronger. It sets this apart from basic caffeine-only pres.

Who Is This For?

  • Seasoned bodybuilders in big volume phases needing a pre that keeps fire through long workouts. 3.2g beta-alanine helps with metabolic stress sets, stim-noot stack maintains drive as fatigue hits.
  • Intermediate-advanced folks training early or quick sessions who need fast ramp-up. Dual caffeine, Eria, hordenine switch you from drag to beast mode quick.
  • Guys who feel mentally off even with good rest. 1g tyrosine, Alpha GPC choline, 200mcg Huperzine suit those wanting focus and muscle feel as much as energy.
  • Athletes doing heavy accessories, drops, supersets with big fatigue. Beta-alanine's carnosine helps buffer acid, making finishers less brutal.
  • High-stim fans bored with 250-300mg caffeine pres. 423mg from anhydrous and dicaffeine is for those chasing real kick.
  • Folks wanting some pump but energy-focus first. 4g citrulline malate and AstraGin give flow support, but it's stim-performance driven.

How to Use

Try 1/2 scoop first if new to it, especially if high-stims aren't your usual. Full scoop has 423mg caffeine plus Eria and hordenine, so know your tolerance. Take 20-30 minutes pre to let anhydrous climb for working sets, dicaffeine extends it. Shake in 10-14 oz cold water; adjust water for flavor strength. Hits best on empty or light stomach—big meals slow it. Skip stacking with other caffeine or huperzine stuff unless you're sure. No need to cycle beta-alanine, but break from stims if tolerance builds. Keep tub sealed, cool, dry to avoid clumps.

What to Expect

Minutes 0-10: mixes like any good pre, taste is solid, settles easy. Minutes 10-20: anhydrous caffeine ramps up, beta-alanine tingles hit, alertness builds. Minutes 20-40: prime time—stims, focus, and light pumps align for peak feel. Minutes 40-90: dicaffeine malate keeps energy going, no sharp drop. Days 1-7: stim and focus shine, beta-alanine loading starts. Weeks 2-4: carnosine builds, tough efforts get easier, formula feels stronger overall.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in Darkside Supps Ultra Pre Xtreme per scoop?

A full scoop provides 350mg caffeine anhydrous plus 100mg dicaffeine malate. Because dicaffeine malate is not 100% caffeine by weight, the total caffeine yield is about 423mg per serving. That puts Ultra Pre Xtreme firmly in the high-stim category.

Is Ultra Pre Xtreme a beginner-friendly pre-workout?

No. With about 423mg total caffeine, plus Eria Jarensis and hordenine, this is designed for experienced stimulant users. Beginners should start elsewhere or, at minimum, begin with 1/2 scoop to assess tolerance.

Will this pre-workout give a strong pump?

It provides moderate pump support, not max-pump support. The formula includes 4g L-Citrulline Malate 2:1, which helps nitric oxide production and blood flow, but the actual pure citrulline yield is below what you see in dedicated pump formulas built around 6-8g+ pure citrulline.

Why does this formula use both caffeine anhydrous and dicaffeine malate?

Caffeine anhydrous hits quickly and gives the formula its hard onset. Dicaffeine malate releases more gradually, which helps extend the energy curve and makes the session feel less front-loaded than anhydrous-only formulas.

What does the 3,200mg beta-alanine dose actually do?

That is the classic evidence-based daily dose used to increase muscle carnosine over time. Higher carnosine helps buffer hydrogen ions during hard training, which is why beta-alanine is associated with better tolerance for intense sets, repeated intervals, and metabolic fatigue.

Why do I feel tingling after taking Ultra Pre Xtreme?

The tingling comes from the 3.2g beta-alanine dose and is called paresthesia. It is common, harmless for most users, and usually strongest shortly after ingestion, especially on an empty stomach.

What is the purpose of Alpha GPC and Huperzine A in this formula?

Alpha GPC provides choline to support acetylcholine production, which is relevant for focus and neuromuscular signaling. Huperzine A slows the breakdown of acetylcholine, so together they create a stronger and longer-lasting cholinergic focus effect than either ingredient alone.

Should I take this on an empty stomach?

Most users feel the onset more strongly on a relatively empty stomach or after a light meal. A large meal can slow absorption and make the stimulant rise feel less immediate, which matters in a formula this reliant on acute energy and focus.

Can I stack Ultra Pre Xtreme with coffee or an energy drink?

That is generally not recommended. This formula already delivers about 423mg total caffeine, and adding more stimulants can increase the risk of jitters, rapid heart rate, anxiety, or sleep disruption.

Does this product need to be taken consistently to work?

The stimulant and focus effects are acute, so you will feel those on day one. Beta-alanine is different—it works best with consistent daily use over multiple weeks as muscle carnosine levels rise.

Baby bumps and bodyguards
Format: Kindle
Dark, emotional, and unexpectedly tender, Not Ready is an omegaverse romance that delivers found family feels, fierce protectiveness, and a very pregnant heroine who refuses to break. Vale’s on the run from a stalker, but lands in the arms of three private security alphas, cue the swoony tension, fake marriage twist, and slow-burn heat. It’s a little gritty, a little soft, and a whole lot addictive. If you love protective alphas, high stakes, and heroines with quiet strength, this one’s a must-read.

Strong Omegaverse Comfort and a Attention Grabbing Plot
Format: Kindle
Jillian West never misses when it comes to Omegaverse, and Not Ready is no exception. This story was the perfect blend of cozy comfort and emotional depth while still delivering a strong plot. Vale is such a powerful heroine, she is strong, capable, and determined but I love that she still allows her pack to love and take care of her. It’s that balance of independence and vulnerability that makes her so relatable. The relationship dynamics were amazing: Bishop is steadfast and completely head over heels, Mercy is skeptical but protective in his own way, and Holt is the hesitant one whose slow fall is so satisfying to watch unfold. The romance hits that sweet spot between insta-love and cautious build, keeping me hooked the entire way through. And that ending. Oh my god, the cliffhanger! I need the next book in this duet immediately.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

4.25 stars
Format: Kindle
Vale is an 8 month pregnant omega working as a waitress at a strip club and a cam girl. She starts to get very creepy vibes from a regular at the club, and her baby daddy ghosted her. She has had an online relationship with a man named Bishop through her cam girl status. One night, bishop was paying to watch her sleep and ansthe creepy regular Andrew break in and watch her sleep he tells vale to come to him at his business now. She flees and finds herself at a large security company with some.hot of alphas who are there to help her. This imegaverse is a little different than I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.
