This product is an innovative post-operative dressing that protects the wound from external contamination and due to its Sorbact technology-coated microbial binding wound contact layer, it helps to prevent colonisation of harmful microbes.
In a recent study Leukomed Sorbact represented a clinically significant 65% relative risk reduction of acquiring a surgical site infection.
Main uses:
For use on types of post-operative and traumatic wounds with low to moderate levels of exudate such as:
- Surgical incisions
- Dehisced wounds
- Lacerations, cuts, abrasions
- Minor burns
Further properties:
- Breathable and shower-proof
- Provides high patient comfort
- Absorbs low to moderate exudate levels
- Reduced the risk of maceration
- Safely and effectively binds bacteria and fungi using a hydrophobic fatty acid. It binds the hydrophobic microbes by physical interaction in a moist environment.

Puppy will chew on this but not favorite. Over time it gets sharp pieces and dog could ingest. Not sure how safe for a small dog. Affordable but not long lasting.
