Bumblebee Wildflower Meadow Seed Mix

This seed mix of native wildflowers and grasses is recommended by The Bumblebee Conservation Trust . It has a high proportion of Fabaceae - plants from the pea family - which bumblebees prefer as they have pollen with the highest protein content. These wildflowers will, of course, also benefit a range of other pollinators. This is a colourful seed mix which will do well in pretty much all other than very acidic or water-logged soils in full sun. Meadows are great habitat for bumblebees as they also provide plenty of potential nest sites for them. Like all our native wildflower seed, this element has guaranteed UK provenance. The grasses are certified.

We also have a mix of wildflowers only for bumblebees and solitary bees, as well as a less diverse collection of bee friendly wildflower plug plants.

We strongly recommend reading up on wildflower meadows before buying seed - see our resources section and brief guide to preparation and aftercare, which includes links to our "how to" blogs and video.

Although we test our seed and it has high germination rates, you need to be careful about initial care and establishing an annual regime. Don't be put off though - once you get the hang of it it's pretty straightforward.

Go Read Art Smith or Charles Wright
Format: Paperback
This book is clearly the case of someone steeped in a lyric tradition, but, rather than engaging in the self-reflexive structure of the tradition, is interested in describing ad nauseum, his southern experience. While there are moments in the book that tend toward the sublime, it rests largely as self-indulgent in a way antithetical to the form it chooses.

Dr. G.
Format: Paperback
Jesse Graves (a.k.a. "Dr. G.") is one of my professors at East Tennessee State University. Not only is he a great teacher, he is a very talented poet. I would recommend his work to anyone! Anyone that does not like his work probably just failed his class. :p

Incredibly Prescient -- Touches On The Major Trends Of Our Times
Format: Hardcover
I was blown away by the fact that the author started writing this book a couple of years ago, before artificial intelligence was in the news, and before the topic and trend of loneliness became so prevalent. The clairvoyance is uncanny and the storyline, while fictional, is totally believable given what's going on in our world today. This is why the novel almost reads like nonfiction, but the plotline carries you forward like a fictional thriller. I audibly gasped, "Holy crap" during the plot twist at the end of the book. Truly a work of art, there is no doubt that this will be adapted for either a movie or a series.

Deeply human, yet visionary
Format: Kindle
This book takes a thoughtful approach to the notion of loneliness in the faces of AI and the many robotic companions already in development or on the market.

Compelling story, beautifully written
Format: Kindle
Loneliness & Company was a fantastic read. In a truly novel take and an incredibly fun read, Charlee Dyroff confronts both the growing endemic of loneliness and the looming threat of AI, pushing us subtly to think deeply and thoughtfully about the implications of both. More than that though, Loneliness & Company is beautifully written, populated by great characters and is driven forward with a compelling, narrative. Its the first book in a very long while that I couldn't wait to get back to. Definitely would give this my strongest recommendation.
