ABOUT THE ART

Jim Dine's artwork often features imagery related to August, particularly through depictions of nature and seasonal themes. One example is his 'Untitled (August)' series, which explores the beauty of the summer season. Additionally, Dine's artistic explorations extend to his grandson, August, with portraits and other depictions of the young boy.

ARTIST BIO

Jim Dine, byname of James Dine, (born June 16, 1935, Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.), American painter, graphic artist, sculptor, and poet who emerged during the Pop art period as an innovative creator of works that combine the painted canvas with ordinary objects of daily life. His persistent themes included those of personal identity, memory, and the body.

Dine studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School and at Ohio University. He moved to New York City in 1958, and there he became part of a group of artists who initiated Happenings, an early form of performance art.

His early work consists primarily of images on canvas to which three-dimensional objects (e.g., articles of clothing, garden tools) are attached. His 'Shoes Walking on My Brain' (1960), for example, is a childlike painting of a face with a pair of leather shoes fixed to the forehead.

His reputation was secured during the 1960s by his wittily incongruous painted images of tools, clothes, and other utilitarian and household objects. He is particularly associated with the bathrobe and the stylized heart. The subject of Dine’s work of the 1970s remained commonplace objects, but he showed a growing preoccupation with graphic media.

Jim Dine's exploitation of nuances of line and texture is especially evident in his images of flowers and portraits of his wife done in the late 1970s.

Worthless. Tore on first use.
Flavor Name: XL silicone socks 2 pairs
The first time I put these on my feet, the whole toe broke right through. They were a proper fit and my feet are well pedicured. Just very poor quality. I don’t recommend.

Helps dry, cracked feet
Flavor Name: XL silicone socks 2 pairs
We use these on my husband’s cracked feet in the winter and put on a thick cream under these socks. They are nice because hair, dirt and that kind of stuff doesn’t stick to the outside. I do wish them came in more sizes and colors. They were a little small for my husband, but still worked good enough. My husband isn’t thrilled about wearing pink socks around the house. At least it’s just around the house and not out in public though.

Be aware! Once they are on, do not walk! 😂
Flavor Name: XL silicone socks 2 pairs
I absolutely love these things. But the first time I put them on in the living room. The walk to my bedroom was VERY interesting 😂😂😂 I now know I need to put them on and hang out for a bit, or simply go to bed. They do exactly what I need them to do. Feet feel great afterwards! With the right lotion, only need to use one every couple of weeks.

Transformed my feet
Flavor Name: XL silicone socks 2 pairs
After trying several other brands that actually my size did not have the luxury feeling of these. T although x large they have the BEST feel and function. I put lotion on then slip them on and within a few minutes my dry cracked heals are soft. Really a nice product.
