Also known as the Carpet Bugle Plant, it thrives in full sun to full shade, making it ideal for hard-to-grow locations. It grows between stepping stones, underneath trees or shrubs, or even in wall crevices, adding a European feel to your landscape. This plant is rabbit and deer resistant so thinning this perennial is required after the first few years of growth. Propagation is easily done by dividing the plant mounds and separating the rooted stems. It is an invasive plant so take care when planting near grass and unedged flowerbeds. The Ajuga Bronze Beauty has a sister plant, the Ajuga Chocolate Chip, with similar planting and care characteristics and can be used for a combination groundcover display.
