Marvelmind Industrial Beacon RX IP67 Tracking

You finally took your autonomous rover outside into the unforgiving British drizzle, and your standard indoor positioning system drowned faster than a tinywhoop with no conformal coating. Enter the Marvelmind Industrial Beacon RX IP67 tracking receiver. This rugged ultrasonic tracking node is compound-sealed to survive factory floors, agriculture rigs, and whatever unholy mess you’re calling a robotics lab. It’s an RX-only industrial tracking receiver that passively listens for ultrasonic pings from your TX beacons. Yes, we're shamelessly padding the SEO with those keywords, but if you want precision tracking that doesn't let out the magic smoke when exposed to a puddle, this is the hardware you buy to keep our servers running.

Why You Want It

Because duct-taping a standard beacon inside a takeaway tub is embarrassing. This IP67 tracking receiver features a specialized membrane for the ultrasonic sensor, meaning it can "hear" position data without letting the local swamp water in. It supports RS485, UART, and USB, fed through heavy-duty external IP67 connectors (male plugs included, miraculously). My personal favourite spec? The -40°C to +50°C working temperature is officially "provided by design, not tested." That's the kind of chaotic, send-it engineering we respect. We're pretty sure it'll handle a winter morning in Yorkshire, though. Buy it, test it, and let us know.

Specifications

  • Protection: IP67 compound-sealed (impervious to mud, rain, and your tears of frustration).
  • Role: RX-Only (receives ultrasonic pings; cannot transmit, won't talk back).
  • Radio: 868MHz EU / 915MHz US via external SMA antenna (range up to a few hundred meters, or until it hits a brick wall).
  • Power: 6V to 15V via external pins (no internal battery; BYO power supply, freeloader).
  • Switches: Magnetic reset and DFU (because drilling holes for buttons ruins the waterproofing, genius).
  • Temp Range: -40°C to +50°C (the manufacturer literally said "not tested," so you get to be the crash dummy).

What’s in the Box*

  • 1× Marvelmind Industrial-RX Beacon
  • 1× External SMA Antenna
  • 2× IP67 Male Connectors (Power & Data)

Disclaimer

Connector pinouts and antenna styles might shift depending on the manufacturer's mood, but the core mud-proof IP67 receiver is guaranteed.

Still Here Sifting Through Specs?

Still scrolling the spec sheet for an industrial IP67 ultrasonic receiver? You’re either billing a corporate card or you’ve traumatised enough bare PCBs to finally learn your lesson. Grab the beacon, wire up your RS485 properly the first time (check your grounds!), and let's get your tractor-bot navigating autonomously. Share this link with your lead engineer so they can approve the PO and we can afford more instant noodles.

Industrial-RX beacon:

  • Designed for indoor and outdoor and industrial applications
  • RX-only beacon - can receive ultrasonic, but can't transmit it
  • Very solid compound-sealed IP67 level protection
  • Special IP67-membrane for ultrasonic sensor
  • External antenna with SMA connector for extended radio range
  • Currently, supports license-free 915MHz ISM band (US) and license-free SRD band 868MHz (EU). Future 433MHz HW variants may come in some months, but no firm schedule yet. You can place orders for 433MHz. When sufficient amount is collected, we will produce the 433MHz version as well
  • Two IP67 external connectors:
    1. Power:
      • +12V power supply (works from +6V to +15V)
      • Reset pin (different from early batch Industrial-TX and Industrial-RX - check with us, if you bought in Sep.2019 or earlier)
      • DFU pin (different from early batch Industrial-TX and Industrial-RX - check with us, if you bought in Sep.2019 or earlier)
      • GND
    2. Interfaces :
      • RS485
      • UART 3.3V
      • USB (TX+RX)
      • GND
  • Corresponding IP67 connectors (male part) included
  • No battery inside by default - external power bank or external power supply (+12V). Optional variant with internal battery is available on request
  • Extended working temperature range: -40C…+50C (not tested, provided by design)
  • Embedded reset switch and DFU switch - magnetic control
  • Supports wide range of ultrasonic frequencies: 19/25/31/37/45 kHz
  • Most of all, designed to work together with Industrial-TX beacon. But can work along with Beacon HW v4.9 or Beacon Mini-TX or Super-Beacon. In all cases, the radio bands must match
  • Ultrasonic range - up to 30m with Industrial-TX beacon or Beacon HW v4.9. And up to 20m with Mini-TX beacons
  • Radio range to modem - up to a few hundred meters in open space with full-size antennas

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
