Designed to support classroom instruction in the early years, each set features the Easy Alphabet cue plus handwriting guidelines for capital and lowercase letters. The six sets align with state-specific fonts across Australia.

What makes the Easy Alphabet so effective?

• Integrated 'Story' cue: Each display card features one letter, a unique picture in the shape of the letter shape and a short phrase that describes the picture and guides the formation of each letter. This solidifies the connection between the letter sound, letter shape, and letter formation.
• Reinforce handwriting: Capital and lowercase letters, in the beginner handwriting font of your choice, are included as an easy reference point for students.  

Use in conjunction with Introduction Sheets to help reinforce letter learning and Speedy 3 Playing Cards to automate letter sound links. 

Who can benefit?

These cards are designed for instructional use in an early years classroom. They are also a useful tool for reinforcing both capital and lowercase letters with any beginner reader.

For struggling beginner readers focus on lowercase letters in the early stages (see Easy Alphabet Display Cards), then introduce these cards to reinforce the link between lowercase and capital letters.

Choose from six unique card sets 

Each set includes 32 individual A4 display cards - all 26 letters plus six essential digraphs (sh, ch, th, wh, qu, ng).  

The Foundation set, which features a generic beginner font, also includes 10 extra cards to allow for handwriting variations for d, k, t, v and w. If you are uncertain which font best suits your state/country we recommend you choose this set.

Each card set features the state's handwriting font, both capital and lowercase letters, displayed on the recommended lined paper to assist with early handwriting instruction.

** VIC/WA/NT: Please note, the VIC/WA/NT handwriting font includes exit tails. On these cards the Easy Alphabet embedded mnemonic features a 'Foundation' font and the handwriting examples feature 'Victorian Modern Cursive' on dotted thirds. Please review the graphic carefully.
