This new starter set centers on the island-hopping campaigns undertaken by the US to reclaim Japanese advances. Unlike the land wars in Europe, North Africa, and the Soviet Union, where vast armies of tanks and infantry could maneuver and fight over large open areas, the Pacific campaign was primarily fought on a series of relatively small islands, densely packed with jungles and protected by the sea. Each island had to be landed on, fought for, and its defenders rooted out, one by one.

Containing two opposing forces set amidst the many islands of the Pacific theater, Island Assault! includes the Bolt Action 2nd edition rules and a scenario booklet to guide you through your first steps in the game.
