Critical successes and failures for each basic spell are introduced, as are spell-specific flourishes that can be learned to enhance your magic. Such flourishes take their toll, however, and to even learn such secrets will require you to venture into the Bibliosepulchre itself in a ten-scenario competitive campaign.
