Dalmore '2009 Vintage' 15 Year Single Malt Scotch is a limited edition release from The Dalmore’s Vintages Collection, which features annual hand-selected casks that highlight the unique characteristics of each year. Originating from the Highlands of Scotland, this expression has been aged for 15 years in a combination of American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels and enhanced by Matusalem Sherry casks and Graham’s 10-year-old Tawny Port pipes. At 48.9% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and boasts a natural color.

The nose reveals delicate aromas of Manuka honey, dark plum, cracked black pepper, and subtle clove, inviting you into a layered and complex profile. On the palate, the richness deepens with flavors of Morello cherries and dates, complemented by bright notes of candied Seville orange, fresh figs, and a touch of light cacao. The result is a harmonious blend of sweet and spiced fruit notes.

The finish is equally luxurious, with rich plum notes giving way to a smooth combination of moist ginger cake, roasted chestnut, and soft wood spice. This whisky offers a well-rounded experience and can be enjoyed neat to fully appreciate its intricate flavors.

This book is a must read for anyone trying to understand the role of the US in trade.
Format: Hardcover
Hudson explains US monetary policy from the pre-WWI era to the present day and the points at which it goes through significant changes. He covers the goals of the US at the time, the perspectives of the victims and opponents of these policies and the reasons for changes in monetary policy. I had already read the previous edition but he updates this book to include how the China and Russia are building effective resistance to the machinations of the world bank, IMF, and to the hegemony of the dollar zone in general. Essential reading!
