This humble vase, adorned with a beautifully painted blue bird, brings a quiet sense of peace and happiness to those who behold it. 

The base employs Buncheong, a traditional Korean ceramic technique in which white clay is applied to create a soft gray-white surface.
Each firing yields a unique tone and texture, resulting in a refined yet unassuming beauty imbued with the freedom that only handmade work can achieve.

The painting that adorns the surface draws from the symbolism of Minhwa, traditional Korean folk painting.
Minhwa emerged in the Joseon Dynasty as an art form of everyday hope and blessing, portraying wishes for good fortune, happiness, and prosperity.
In this piece, the cobalt-blue peony symbolizes wealth and harmony, while the bird conveys joyful news and auspicious energy.
Through a contemporary interpretation of these traditional motifs, the artists seek to bring warmth and quiet resonance into modern living spaces.
