Maple Leaf designed a barrel where the tip is wider compared to the rest. At the end of the barrel, the air passes around the BB and exits first, and when the BB leaves the barrel, the airflow pulls the BB in what is called a jet stream. This creates less resistance on the BB and does NOT reduce velocity, but instead increases accuracy!
