ARTIST BIO

Through compositions that seem to burst with energy, Matt Gondek critically engages with pop cultural icons, often deconstructing them to comment on power and societal norms. His works are characterized by vivid, explosive forms and vibrant color palettes.

A self-taught artist, Gondek has exhibited his work in cities like Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Mexico City. Beyond painting, Gondek has created sculptures and digital works, including NFTs.

Gondek also hosts the podcast Clean Break, where he unpacks the business side of working creatively. His artwork is influenced by Pop Art icons such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, as well as contemporary artists like Jeff Koons and Takashi Murakami.
