You will receive a tested and working BIOS for a digital edition PlayStation 5 console. This BIOS IC will allow you to update any PS5 to the latest firmware without requiring a disc drive.
This has recently been confirmed by ourselves to allow both disc edition and digital editions to run through an update to the latest firmware without needing a matching disc drive. This means that you no longer need to worry if your disc drive is missing or mismatched, it can still be updated. This is as far as we know a permanent fix, but it does mean you will be turning a disc edition console into a digital edition. We're unsure if this is reversible or not in the future.
This BIOS can also replace a faulty BIOS on all consoles. If you have no power, no boot sequence or a corrupted BIOS this may be what you need.
Note that if you replace the BIOS on a disc edition you will no longer be able to play disc based games.
