Our 3-1/2" Hampton Starting Wood Newel Post (Ball top) can be mounted on a stair tread, cap, landing or balcony. It's the most conventional method of starting your stairway. Along with being a stabilizing force, it can also add an ornamental element to the staircase.

Our Wood Newel Posts are available in a wide variety of species including: Oak, Poplar, Cherry, Maple, Mahogany, Alder and more.

This post is a SOLID wood core, they are stronger and more secure than engineered filler core products.
