Traditionally, chaff referred to the discarded stems of a cereal crop when it was threshed for the grain. This chaff was very low in nutrients for animals, basically just being straw. For this reason the term "separating the wheat from the chaff" referred to finding taking worthwhile objects/things out of less worthy things.

What is Oaten/Cereal Chaff?
Perrys Chaff is a mixture of oaten and wheaten hay. We cut predominately oaten hay, but also grow wheaten hay as a rotation crop due to the ability to treat oat related weeds in the paddocks. Wild Oats have a similar growing pattern and structure to chaffing Oats. They have a very low nutrient value, and multiply at a significant rate unless treated. Growing a Wheat crop allows us to eliminate wild oats from the paddocks they are in so that the next oat crop grown is cleaner and therefore the chaff is.

I bought the Juicy Couture Kids Plush Throw Blanket in Cherry Cakes Hot Pink and honestly love it even though I’m definitely not a kid. The 50" x 70" size is great for lounging on the couch, and the blanket is incredibly soft since it’s 100% polyester. It’s a nice mid-weight throw too, not overly heavy but still cozy enough to feel warm and comfortable. The quality surprised me in a good way. The blanket feels well constructed with secure hemmed edges, and I didn’t notice any loose threads or holes anywhere. The colors are super bright and clear in person, and the print is adorable with cakes, bows, hearts, and cherries all over it. It looks exactly like the photos. It also arrived with no weird chemical smell, which I really appreciated. The packaging was cute too — it came hanging on a decent quality hanger with a large bow, so it would make a great gift right out of the package.
