They were best friends. They were collaborators, literary gadflies, and champions of the common people. They were the leading lights of the Harlem Renaissance. Zora Neale Hurston, the author of Their Eyes Were Watching God, and Langston Hughes, the author of "The Negro Speaks of Rivers" and "Let America Be America Again," first met in 1925, at a great gathering of black and white literati, and they fascinated each other. They traveled together in Hurston's dilapidated car through the rural South collecting folklore, worked on the play Mule Bone, and wrote scores of loving letters. They even had the same patron: Charlotte Osgood Mason, a wealthy white woman who insisted on being called "Godmother."

Paying them lavishly while trying to control their work, Mason may have been the spark for their bitter and passionate falling-out. Was the split inevitable when Hughes decided to be financially independent of his patron? Was Hurston jealous of the young woman employed as their typist? Or was the rupture over the authorship of Mule Bone? Yuval Taylor answers these questions while illuminating Hurston's and Hughes's lives, work, competitiveness, and ambition, uncovering little-known details.

these are amazing
Flavor Name: Chicken - Regular, Size: 6 Count (Pack of 1)
A must-have for teething puppies m safe, effective, and they actually love them These N-Bone types have a great Puppy Teething Rings have been a total lifesaver during the teething stage. My puppy spends a solid 15–20 minutes working on one, which helps soothe her gums and keeps her from chewing on furniture or shoes. They’re soft enough to be safe for developing teeth but firm enough to give her something satisfying to gnaw on. The chicken flavor clearly hits the spot—she gets excited every time I grab the bag. I also appreciate that they’re fully edible and made with ingredients like calcium and DHA to support growth. No rawhide, no weird plastic texture just a treat that’s designed for exactly what puppies need. They can get a little sticky if left out too long, so I recommend supervising and tossing any unfinished pieces. Other than that, these are easily one of the best teething products I’ve found. Worth every penny.

Best chew “toy” ever!
Flavor Name: Chicken - Regular, Size: 6 Count (Pack of 1)
Our new puppy kept biting everything-even us! Ten chew toys later and still biting. We bought these, and oh my!, what a difference. This keeps her occupied for l o n g periods of time and has settled her biting us down to almost never.

My Babies love them.

I typically buy this monthly. I originally bought this for my toy poodle five years ago. He's five now and loves these things! I also started my Doodle off with these to help him. He soon became baby Jaws and devoured through these. Now, as a two year old he also prefers theses as a treat.

I love these!!! They are great for puppies that are constantly biting on everything. I have used it for all my dogs and never have had a dog that bites cables or shoes. And they are sturdy which I like.

Puppies love them
Flavor Name: Chicken - Regular, Size: 6 Count (Pack of 1)
Puppies love these rings. Give it to them in morning when I leave to keep them occupied for a moment while I step out the house for work so they are distracted instead of whining. Hardness is good enough for my mini bernedoodle but Goldendoodle chews it up quickly. I’m glad these are edible and dog friendly. Just as pictured l.
