This pendant features intricately carved wings that depict two distinct environments. One side showcases a mountain range bordered by an ocean, complemented by a rising sun, phases of the moon, stars, and clouds. This image creates possibility in the distance, the option to move in whatever direction is best for our overall wellbeing. The long view is meant to help us envision the future, while the row of Stars down the tail of the Dragonfly reconnects us to our Cosmic origins.
The other side of this carving portrays a serene lotus pond paired with blooms, reeds, and rings of water. Above this, dragonflies move in spirals of air, serving as a reminder to be present in the moment and appreciate the beauty around us. The Phases of the Moon down the length of the tail helps us remember the passage of time throughout the year, in the cycle of months.
The specially carved bail featuring a tree and pond reeds, and the three-dimensional quality of the wings add to the pendant's symbolism. Crafted from solid sterling silver, this pendant is not only visually stunning but also substantial to wear and hold.
Pendant is 1+1/2" tall x 1+1/2" wide x 1/2" thick, not including the bail where the chain goes through. It is shown on the 2.5 mm Byzantine chain.
