The most common filter is made of cordierite. Cordierite filters provide excellent filtration efficiency, are relatively inexpensive (comparison with Sic wall flow filter). The major drawback is that cordierite has a relatively low melting point.

| Noble metals (such as platinum, palladium) or metal oxides (such as CeO₂, ZrO₂) are usually coated as catalysts to promote the oxidation reaction of particulate matter (PM). It can passively regenerate through catalytic reaction at a lower temperature (about 250 - 350°C), convert soot into CO₂ and reduce the frequency of active regeneration (high temperature combustion). Lil boy's favorite ball

The squeak gets my little boy every time. The glow factor is under par. I mainly get it because he also enjoys the brighter colors. All of the others be trying to get his ball. Good product just wish it would glow better because our park times are right around sunset.
